Preparing for Your
Inspection
To get the most out of your
inspection, there is a few things you can do to prepare the home for the
inspector.
-
Confirm that the electric, gas
and water services are turned on.
-
Clear stored items, furniture,
etc. away from furnace, electrical panels, foundation, water heaters and
attic access points.
-
Remove or secure pets in the
home so they won't get loose or interfere with the inspector.
-
Have all access areas
unlocked, such as, fences, electrical panels, attic accesses and crawl
spaces.
-
Replace light bulbs to avoid
having fixtures reported as "Not Satisfactory" on the inspection
report.
-
Replace batteries in smoke
detectors.
Following your inspection, the
inspector will give you a brief verbal report of the inspection. The
inspector will then take his notes and pictures back to the office to prepare
your final report. This gives the inspector time to evaluate his notes and
pictures to give you the most thorough report possible. Pro-One
Home Inspection gives you the following options for receiving your final
report:
-
A copy is emailed to you
(in .pdf format) the evening of the inspection.
-
A hard copy is mailed to you
the morning after the inspection.
-
An email will be sent to you
with a user name and password to a secure link on our web site where you can
access your report.
-
We will hand deliver a copy of
your report to a destination of your choice within 20 miles of our
office in Munger, MI.
You may chose any one or a
combination of the above delivery methods to receive your report.
If you have any questions, please
do not hesitate to contact us.
